Katri Vala (1901–1944) was a Finnish poet, critic, school teacher, and central member of the literary group Tulenkantajat (The Fire Bearers) with Olavi Paavolainen, Elina Vaara, Lauri Viljanen, Ilmari Pimiä, Viljo Kajava, and Yrjö Jylhä. Muonio (previously called ''Muonionniska'', se, Muoná) is a municipality of Finland. The town is located in far northern Finland above the Arctic Circle on the country's western border, within the area of the former Lappi (Lapland) province. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The next closest Finnish municipalities are Enontekiö, Kittilä, and Kolari; and to the west is Sweden's Pajala. On the south side of town, a road bridge crosses the Muonio River, linking Muonio to northern Norrbotten County, Sweden. Mariannelund is a locality situated in Hässleby parish in Eksjö Municipality, Jönköping County, in the region of Småland, Sweden with 1,468 inhabitants in 2010. Mariannelund is situated in the Småland highlands (elevation 118–280 metres above sea level), 39 km east of Eksjö. A railway running from Jönköping by lake Vättern to the Baltic Sea crosses through Mariannelund as well as the coast to coast road number 40. The river Bruza floats through Mariannelund and is part of the greater Em river system. The industry is dominated by forest and building companies.
