Badal Rahman
Badal Rahman (June 4, 1949June 11, 2010 ) was a Freedom Fighter of Bangladesh Liberation War 1971, Bangladeshi film director, Film Society Activist, Writer & Cultural Personality. In 1980 he became the first director to create a full-length feature film for children in Bangladesh, '' Emiler Goenda Bahini''. The film was an adoption of Erich Kästner's novel ''Emil und die Detektive'' published in 1929. Biography Rahman completed his diploma in film editing from the Film and Television Institute of India. In 1974, he, along with Syed Salahuddin Zaki made his first film, ''Prottashar Shurjo''. After directing '' Emiler Goenda Bahini'', he made two more children's films - ''Kanthal Burir Bagan'' and ''Chhana O Muktijuddha'', both films funded by Bangladesh Shishu Academy. Tareen Jahan (born 26 July) is a Bangladeshi actress, model and singer. In 1987 or 1988, she stood first at the reality television competition program Notun Kuri for acting, dancing and storytelling divisions. Since then she started working on television as a child artist. She won Meril Prothom Alo Awards in 2006, 2007 and 2012. Humayun Kamrul Islam (known as Humayun Faridi; 29 May 1952 – 13 February 2012) was a Bangladeshi actor and drama organiser. He worked in television dramas, movies and theatre plays. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his lead role in the film ''Matritto'' (2004). He was awarded Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2018 by the Government of Bangladesh.
