Katerina Belkina
Katerina Belkina (russian: link=no, Катерина Белкина; born 1974, Samara, Russia) is a Russian contemporary pictoralist photographer and painter. She digitally manipulates many of her photographs to appear as paintings, and often uses herself as the model in her work. Life Belkina grew up in an artistic family. Her mother was also an artist. From 1989 Belkina studied at the Art School and the Petrow-Vodkin art academy in Samara. From 1994 to 1999 she worked at the publishing house Fedorow in Samara. In 2000 she started to study at the Michael-Musorin school for photography in her hometown where she studied till 2002. At the same time she worked as a computer graphic designer at a Russian television channel. In 2007, Belkina was nominated for the Russian Kandinsky Prize. Hasselblad Masters Award is an bi-annual award granted by the camera company Hasselblad to selected photographers each year across various specialties in recognition of exceptional accomplishment through photography. The National Museum in Wrocław ( pl, Muzeum Narodowe we Wrocławiu), established 28 March 1947 and officially inaugurated on 11 July 1948, is one of Poland's main branches of the National Museum system. It holds one of the largest collections of contemporary art in the country. Kunsthal
The Kunsthal ( en, Art Hall) is an art museum in Rotterdam. It opened in 1992. Overview The museum is situated in the Museumpark of Rotterdam next to the Natuurhistorisch Museum Rotterdam, and in the vicinity of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Entrance to the Kunsthal is from the Westzeedijk. The building was designed by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas together with project architect Fuminori Hoshino of the architectural firm OMA ( Office for Metropolitan Architecture). Wim van Krimpen was its first director. The Kunsthal has no permanent collection, but organises a wide range of temporary exhibits. The large space available allows various exhibits in parallel. The Kunstpalast, formerly Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf is an art museum in Düsseldorf. History The roots of the museum go back around 300 years. In 1932, the collection of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Academy of Art) was housed in the Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf. This included the exhibits given by the popular regent Jan Wellem, Duke of Palatinate, and his wife Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, and some rich citizens of Düsseldorf.
