Katarzyna Ewa Skowrońska-Dolata (born 30 June 1983) is a former Poland, Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland women's national volleyball team and Italian club Foppapedretti Bergamo, double Women's European Volleyball Championship, European Champion (2003 Women’s European Volleyball Championship, 2003, 2005 Women’s European Volleyball Championship, 2005), gold medalist of Italian, Turkish, Chinese and Azeri national championships. Personal life Skowrońska was born in Warsaw, Poland. On June 17, 2006 she married Jakub Dolata, her manager. Early Years She became interested in volleyball as a teenager, after watching her brother play the sport. As a 15 year old Skowrońska went to the School of Sports Championship Polish Volleyball Federation in Sosnowiec and started to play as a middle blocker. 2005 Women’s European Volleyball Championship
The 2005 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 24th edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted in Pula and Zagreb, Croatia from 17 to 25 September 2005. Participating teams Format The tournament was played in two different stages. In the first stage, the twelve participants were divided in two groups of six teams each. A single round-robin format was played within each group to determine the teams' group position. The second stage of the tournament consisted of two sets of semifinals to determine the tournament final ranking. The group stage firsts and seconds played the semifinals for 1st to 4th place, group stage thirds and fourths played the 5th to 8th place semifinals and the remaining four teams which finished group stages as fifth and sixth ended all tied in final ranking at 9th place. Aleksander Kwaśniewski
Aleksander Kwaśniewski (; born 15 November 1954) is a Polish politician and journalist. He served as the President of Poland from 1995 to 2005. He was born in Białogard, and during communist rule, he was active in the Socialist Union of Polish Students and was the Minister for Sport in the Communist government during the 1980s. After the fall of Communism, he became a leader of the left-wing Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland, a successor to the former ruling Polish United Workers' Party, and a co-founder of the Democratic Left Alliance. Kwaśniewski was elected to the presidency in 1995, defeating the incumbent, Lech Wałęsa. He was re-elected to a second and final term as president in 2000 in a decisive first-round victory.
