Kamshet railway station or Kamshet station is a railway station of Pune Suburban Railway on Mumbai CST, Mumbai–Chennai line. Local trains between Pune Junction–, –Lonavla stop here. The only passenger train having a stop at this station is the Pune Junction– Passenger. The station has two platforms and a foot overbridge. Kamshet
Kamshet is located in Pune district in the state of Maharashtra, India, 110 km from Mumbai City, and 45 km from Pune in Pune district. It is 16 km from the twin hill stations of Khandala and Lonavala and is accessible by road and rail from Mumbai and Pune. Kamshet is home to small villages that are built in the traditional style - with mud, thatch and reeds. Maval is a tehsil in a subdivision of the same name, in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. Description The word Maval is derived from a Marathi word ''Maval'', meaning the direction in which the sun sets. This region is towards the west of Pune area. Tikona
Tikona also known as Vitandgad) is the dominant hill fort in Maval in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 60 km from Pune. The village nearest to the fort is called Tikona-Peth. The 3500 foot high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangular". The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', seven water tanks (seven water tanks), and some Satvahan caves. Tung Fort
Tung Fort ( mr, तुंग किल्ला/कठिणगड ) (or Kathingad; ''difficult fort'' in Marathi) is a hill fort in Pune District, India. Location It is about 12 km from Malavli railway station and can also be approached from Lonavala. Tung Fort has an elevation of 1075 m above sea level. Since Pawna was built, it is now surrounded by water on three sides. One can ferry across in a boat from Pawna dam to its base village, Tungi. Tung fort is also named Kathingad fort.
