Kamsar (Kamo Sahakyan)
Kamsar–Kamo Sahakyan (, born April 16, 1961 in Yeghegnadzor), is an Armenian painter. Biography Kamsar–Kamo Sahakyan was born in Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. 1971–1976, he studied at Yeghennadzor Art School, in Van Yeghyan's class, who played great role in the formation of the artist's aesthetic taste and the love towards the abstract painting. 1976–1980 studied painting at the Terlemezian School of Arts in Yerevan. Since 1990 Kamsar is a member of Artists' Union of Armenia. Since 1996 Kmasar is the director of Vayots Dzor Regional Museum of Yeghegnadzor. Yeghegnadzor
Yeghegnadzor ( hy, Եղեգնաձոր) is a town and urban municipal community in southern Armenia, serving as the provincial capital of Vayots Dzor Province. It is located at a road distance of 123 km south of the capital Yerevan, on the shores of Srkghonk River ( hy, Սրկղոնք), at a height of 1194 meters above sea level. As per the 2016 official estimate, Yeghegnadzor had a population of around 6,600. However, as of the 2011 census, the population of the town was 7,944. Yeghegnadzor is the seat of the Diocese of Vayots Dzor of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Etymology The name ''Yeghegnadzor'' consists of two Armenian words: ''yegheg'' ( hy, եղեգ) meaning ''cane'', and ''dzor'' ( hy, ձոր) meaning ''valley''. Vayots Dzor
Vayots Dzor ( hy, Վայոց Ձոր, ) is a province (''marz'') of Armenia. It lies at the southeastern end of the country, bordering the Nakhchivan exclave of Azerbaijan to the west and the Kalbajar District of Azerbaijan to the east. It covers an area of . With a population of only 52,324 (2011 census), it is the most sparsely populated province in the country. The capital and largest city of the province is the town of Yeghegnadzor. Yerevan History Museum
The Yerevan History Museum ( hy, Երևանի Պատմության Թանգարան (''Yerevani Patmut'yan T'angaran'')) is the history museum of Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. The museum was founded in 1931 as the Communal Museum. Currently, the museum is located in a building attached to the Yerevan City Hall. The architect of the building was Jim Torosyan. History Beginning in 1931, the museum was located in two rooms on the second floor of the Yerevan Fire Department building, and in 1936, it moved to the Blue Mosque (''Gyoy-Djami''). Creative arts Literature Literature began in Armenia around 401 A.D. The majority of the literary arts were created by Moses of Khorene, in the 5th century.
