Kampong Sungai Tilong () or commonly known as Sungai Tilong, is a village in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The population was 4,054 in 2016. It is one of the villages within Mukim Berakas 'B'. The postcode is BC3315. Economy Most of the total population works in the public sector, while the rest run their own businesses or serve the private sector. Jaya Rajid
Pengiran Jaya (1925 – 18 October 2009) was a nobleman and the first Brunei local to be appointed as Brunei's Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and appointed as the Brunei High Commissioner to several countries. Notably, he was also a member of the Legislative Council. Career He became the first Brunei police personnel to be sent to United Kingdom in 1956. Legislative Council Of Brunei
The Legislative Council of Brunei (Malay: ''Majlis Mesyuarat Negara Brunei''; Jawi: مجليس مشوارت نڬارا بروني; abbrev: Legco) is a national unicameral legislature of Brunei. The council comprises 36 appointed members, that only has consultative tasks. Under Brunei's 1959 constitution, His Majesty Hassanal Bolkiah is the head of state with full executive authority, including emergency powers since 1962. The Council holds its sitting annually in March at Legislative Council Building in Bandar Seri Begawan. History The council was established in 1959 by virtue of Article 23 of Brunei's Constitution of 1959. Its first sitting was held at Lapau on 21 October 1959. Abu Bakar Umar
Pengiran Abu Bakar (9 September 1906 – 11 June 1985) was a nobleman, civil servant, and politician who became the fifth Speaker of the Brunei legislative council, serving from 1 December 1974 until his retirement on 14 December 1981. Notably, he is the Parent-in-law, father-in-law to Princess Masna Bolkiah. Early life and education Pengiran Abu Bakar was born on 9 September 1906 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Town. Temburong District
Temburong District ( ms, Daerah Temburong; Jawi: دائيره تمبوروڠ) or simply Temburong () is the easternmost district in Brunei.
