Kaloyanovo, Plovdiv Province
Kaloyanovo ( bg, Калояново) is a village in southern Bulgaria, and the administrative center of the Kaloyanovo Municipality in the Plovdiv Province. As of 2009 it has 2,672 inhabitants. The village is situated in an agricultural region and is close to the spa resort Hisarya. The population is entirely ethnic Bulgarian. However, the locals follow the two major mainstreams of Christianity: there are 1,600 Bulgarian Orthodox and 1,100 Roman Catholic Christians. Kaloyanovo has both a Bulgarian Orthodox, built in 1845, and a Gothic Revival Roman Catholic church. Some of the Orthodox population descends from Bulgarian refugees from Greek Macedonia and more precisely Gorno Frashtani (today Oreini, Serres). Kaloyanovo Municipality
Kaloyanovo Municipality () is a municipality in the Plovdiv Province, central Bulgaria and covers an area of 347 km². As of 2006 it has 12,390 inhabitants. The center of the municipality is the village of Kaloyanovo (Plovdiv Province), Kaloyanovo. It is a flat country with some hilly areas to the north where the southern slopes of Sredna Gora begin. Hisarya ( bg, Хисаря , also known as ''Hisar'', ''Hissar'' or ''Hissarya'', formerly: Toplitsa) is a small resort town in Bulgaria, in Plovdiv Province. Hisar means 'fort, castle' in Arabic. Gothic Revival (also referred to as Victorian Gothic, neo-Gothic, or Gothick) is an architectural movement that began in the late 1740s in England. Oreini ( el, Ορεινή, bg, Фращани,''Frashtani'') is a village and a former community in the Serres regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Serres, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 54.309 km2. Population 742 (2011).
