Kalle Kustaa Pykälä
Karl Gustaf (Kalle Kustaa, K. K.) Pykälä (9 December 1864 – 2 October 1915) was a Finnish farmer and politician, born in Nastola. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland from 1907 until his death in 1915, representing the Agrarian League. He was murdered on 2 October 1915 as revenge for having witnessed in court against a man who had committed perjury. Kalle Kustaa Pykälä was the father of Bertta Leppälä and the father-in-law of Juhani Leppälä Johan (Juhani) Fredrik Leppälä (10 May 1880 – 15 December 1976; surname until 1906 ''Lindeqvist'') was a Finnish schoolteacher, farmer and politician. Nastola
Nastola is a former municipality of Finland. It was merged with the city of Lahti on 1 January 2016. In the province of Southern Finland, Nastola is part of the Päijät-Häme region. The municipality had a population of (30 June 2015) and covered an area of of which was water. The population density was . Nastola is located between two major cities: Lahti and Kouvola. Kausala, the administrative center of Iitti, is away from Nastola in the direction of Kouvola. The municipality was unilingually Finnish. History Ornamental items, presumed to date back to the 1200s, have been found in the village of Ruuhijärvi. Although the items are of Karelian design, scholars agree that they are not necessarily indicative of Karelian settlement in Nastola.
