''Kallazhagar'' is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Bharathi starring Vijayakanth and Laila. Nassar, Sonu Sood and Manivannan play other supporting roles, while Deva composed the score and soundtrack for the film. This is the Tamil debut of Laila and Sonu Sood. The song ''Vaararu Vaararu Azhagar Vaararu'' is played every year at the Chithirai fest in Madurai. The song in the movie also takes place in the Chithirai festival. Rudra, also credited as Ashwini, is an Indian actress who has appeared in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil films and serials. She made her acting debut with the 1991 Tamil film ''Pudhu Nellu Pudhu Naathu''. Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. During the course of his 40-year film career, he has written over 7,500 songs and poems which have won him seven National Awards, the most for any Indian lyricist. Kallazhagar Temple
Kallalagar Temple (Kallazhagar Temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu in Alagar Koyil, a village in Madurai district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the ''Naalayira Divya Prabandham'', the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th–9th centuries CE. It is one of the 108 ''Divya Desams'' dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshiped as Kallalagar, and his consort Lakshmi as Thirumagal.
