Kali Prasad Baskota ( ne, काली प्रसाद बास्कोटा) is a Nepali singer, musician and lyricist. Baskota has also judged in first three season of Nepali Reality show Nepal Idol. Career He started his music career since 2007/8, as a lyricist and composer for the song ''Chahana Sakiyo Bahana Sakiyo'' sung by Sashi Rawal. Some of his earlier hits are ''Laija Re'' sung by Hemant Rana, ''Bida nai deu baru'' sung by Azad Dhungana. His 2017 song called Saili sung by Hemant Rana was trending worldwide on No. 14 on YouTube after the first week of its release. In feature films he gave songs like ''Jaalma'', ''Nira'', ''Lappan Chappan'', ''Panchi'', ''Daiba Hey''. Nepal Idol
Nepal Idol ( ne, नेपाल आइडल ) is a Nepali reality television singing competition that is part of the ''Idols'' franchise created and owned by FremantleMedia. Nepal Idol 2017 is the first season of Idol Franchise in Nepal which aired on AP1 TV. In the first season, audition were held at seven cities; Nepalgunj, Butwal, Narayangarh, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Pokhara and Kathmandu. Contestants aged 16 to 30 years of age are allowed to participate. The first ever season of the show was won by Buddha Lama from Pokhara, Nepal in which a total of 93,100,000 votes were cast for the grand finale. ''Loot'' ( ne, लूट) is a 2012 Nepali crime thriller film that was directed and written by Nischal Basnet in his debut. The film was produced by Madhav Wagle and Narendra Maharjan with Princess Movies and Black Horse Pictures. Nischal Basnet is a Nepali director, actor and playback singer who predominantly works in Nepali cinema. The film was shot in Nepalgunj and Achham.
