Loot (2012 Film)
''Loot'' ( ne, लूट) is a 2012 Nepali crime thriller film that was directed and written by Nischal Basnet in his debut. The film was produced by Madhav Wagle and Narendra Maharjan with Princess Movies and Black Horse Pictures. The film features an ensemble cast including Saugat Malla, Dayahang Rai, Karma Shakya, Prateek Raj Neupane, Sushil Raj Pandey, Reecha Sharma, Srijana Subba, Praveen Khatiwada and Sushma Karki. In the film, Haku Kale (Saugat Malla), suffers from poverty and he is inspired by a recent successful bank robbery, he plans to rob a bank in Kathmandu alongside four other criminals. The film was released on 13 January 2012 in Nepal, received critical acclaim with praise directed towards performances of the cast, screenplay, twists, climax and direction of Nischal Basnet. Nischal Basnet
Nischal Basnet is a Nepali director, actor and playback singer who predominantly works in Nepali cinema. Considered as one of the best director of Nepali cinema, he is widely acclaimed for "revolutionizing Nepali cinema" through his realistic, dark and comic depiction of social problems prevalent in Nepal on celluloid screen. Bipin Karki
Bipin Karki ( ne, बिपिन कार्की, born 21 August 1982 in Bahuni, Nepal) is a Nepalese film and theatre actor known for his work in Nepali cinema. Karki began his career at a young age by appearing in stage plays with his brother Arjun Karki. Karki performed stage plays with Kamal Mani Nepal and his guru Sunil Pokharel at Gurukul Theatre in Kathmandu in 2005.
