Kahama Urban District
Kahama Urban District is one of the five districts of the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the town of Kahama. It is bordered to the north and south by Kahama Rural District, to the east by Nzega District and to the west by Bukombe District. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Kahama Urban District was 242,208. In 2021 President Magufuli promoted Kahama from a town council to a municipal council. Economy Kahama is now an urban area, declared and publicly known. Its recent development, which are also fascinating, are the result of Isaka dry port and mining activities which have been going on for quite some time now. Districts Of Tanzania
As of 2021,there are 31 regions of Tanzania which are divided into 184 districts (Swahili: wilaya). In 2016, Songwe Region was created from the western part of Mbeya Region. Shinyanga Region
__NOTOC__ Shinyanga Region (''Mkoa wa Shinyanga'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The regional capital is the municipality of Shinyanga. The region is bordered to the north by the Mwanza, Mara, and Kagera Regions and to the south by the Tabora Region. Kigoma Region borders to the west, and the Simiyu Region to the east. Kahama Rural District
Kahama Rural District is one of the five districts of the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the town of Kahama. The district consists of two separate parts, divided by Kahama Urban District. The area to the northeast is Msalala District, while the part to the southwest is Ushetu Council. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Kahama Rural District was 523,802. Nzega District
Nzega District is one of the seven districts of the Tabora Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Shinyanga Region, to the south and southwest by Uyui District and to the east by Igunga District. Its administrative seat is the town of Nzega. According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of Nzega District was 417,097. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Nzega District was 502,252. John Magufuli
John Pombe Joseph Magufuli (29 October 1959 – 17 March 2021) was the fifth president of Tanzania, serving from 2015 until his death in 2021. He served as Minister of Works, Transport and Communications from 2000 to 2005 and 2010 to 2015 and was chairman of the Southern African Development Community from 2019 to 2020. Isaka
Isaka is a small town and station on the narrow-gauge Mwanza railway line of Tanzania which connects to the seaport of Dar es Salaam. Transport It is located in Kahama Rural District of Shinyanga Region. In the 1980s a dry port was established there to serve the landlocked countries of Burundi and Rwanda, since Isaka is on a highway, now paved, running 610 km from the Rwandan capital, Kigali. The dry port functions as a sub-port of Dar es Salaam. Road transport companies can collect containers coming from overseas at Isaka and clear customs there, and deliver containers going overseas to the same location. Isaka also handles containers for the north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 2017, a new station on the standard gauge railway is proposed.
