K. Chakravarthy
K. Chakravarthi (born Kommineni Appa Rao; 8 September 1936 – 3 February 2002) was an Indian music director who primarily worked in Telugu cinema. He made his debut with in 1971 with ''Mooga Prema'' and went on compose music for over 949 films, predominantly in Telugu language (884 films), followed by Kannada (60 films). He won two Nandi Awards. Personal life Chakravarthi was born as Kommineni Appa Rao on 8 September 1936 in Ponnekallu, Guntur District of present-day Andhra Pradesh. He had three sons, including Sri Kommineni who was also a music director and a playback singer. Career Chakravarthi learned classical vocal from Mahavadi Venkatappaiah. He formed a music troupe called Vinod Orchestra in Guntur and organised light music concerts. Those days, Mangapati of HMV identified his talent and invited him to Madras. Premabhishekam (1981 Film)
'' Premabhishekam'' () is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. Produced by Venkat Akkineni and Nagarjuna Akkineni under ''Annapurna Studios'' banner, the film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jayasudha, Sridevi, Murali Mohan and Mohan Babu with music composed by Chakravarthy. Released on 18 February 1981, ''Premabhishekam'' was a commercial success and industry hit grossing over 4crore at the box office. ''Balipeetam'' is a 1975 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film stars Sobhan Babu and Sarada in the lead roles. It is produced by Y. Sunil Chowdary. It is based on the popular socialist novel, ''Balipeetam'' written by Ranganayakamma. Plot Bhaskar (Sobhan Babu) is a Dalit Social worker. Aruna (Sarada) is a Brahmin child-widow with consumption on her deathbed. Bhupalam (pronounced ''bhūpalam'') is a rāgam in Carnatic music (musical scale of South Indian classical music). It is a pentatonic scale (''audava'' rāgam or ''owdava'' rāgam). Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1947 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, in addition to Hindi cinema. He has directed more than 150 feature films in a variety of genres. He holds the '' Limca World Record'' for directing the most number of films in the world. He is known by the moniker ''Darsaka Ratna'' (). His works emphasize social injustice, corruption and gender discrimination. Neti Bharatam
''Neti Bharatam'' is a 1983 film written and directed by T. Krishna and produced by Eetharam Films. It is a musical hit film promoting liberal ideals. Lyrics for the songs were penned by revolutionary poet Srirangam Srinivasa Rao, Adrushta Deepak who was then an unknown lyricist, and music scored by K. Chakravarthy. The movie is most famous for the song "Maanavatvam Parimalinche", which got the lyricist Adrushta Deepak noticed. ''Khaidi'' () is a 1983 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. It stars Chiranjeevi and Madhavi. The film is loosely based on the 1982 American film '' First Blood''.
