Vijayashanti
Vijayashanti (born 24 June 1966) is an Indian actress, producer and politician. In a film career spanning 40 years, she has acted in 187 feature films in a variety of roles in various languages predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, in addition to Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam films. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her work as a "super cop" in '' Kartavyam'' (1990), for depicting both aggression and feminity with balance and restraint. For her role in ''Pratighatana'' (1985), Vijayashanti won her first state Nandi Award and Filmfare Award. She is a recipient of several accolades, including four Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards for Best Actress, seven Filmfare Awards South together with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003, and the Kalaimamani Award from Tamil Nadu Government. ''Challenge'' is a 1984 Indian Telugu-language film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy and produced by K. S. Rama Rao under the Creative Commercials banner. ''Agni Parvatam'' () is a 1985 Indian Telugu-language film, produced by C. Ashwini Dutt and K. Raghavendra Rao under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. The film stars Krishna. It was an industry hit in the box office of Tollywood, with 5 musical hits, including a solo title song. Master Arjun acted as a child character, Jamadagni. ''Neti Bharatam'' is a 1983 film written and directed by T. Krishna and produced by Eetharam Films. It is a musical hit film promoting liberal ideals. Lyrics for the songs were penned by revolutionary poet Srirangam Srinivasa Rao, Adrushta Deepak who was then an unknown lyricist, and music scored by K. Chakravarthy. The movie is most famous for the song "Maanavatvam Parimalinche", which got the lyricist Adrushta Deepak noticed. The Kalaimamani is the highest civilian award in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.
