Jumbo King is a chain of fast food restaurants based primarily in Mumbai, Maharashtra specialising in the Maharashtrian regional dish vada pav (''though later sold as vegetarian burgers''). Established in 2001 by husband and wife Dheeraj and Reeta Gupta, the company was inspired by the fast food business model of McDonald's and Burger King. Jumbo King Foods Pvt. The dish consists of a deep fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun (''pav'') sliced almost in half through the middle.
