José Antonio Pérez Tapias
José Antonio Pérez Tapias (born 1955) is a Spanish politician, author and university professor. He was a member of the 8th and 9th terms of the Congress of Deputies. Biography Born on 3 June 1955 in Seville, he has however been based most of his life in Granada, earning a licentiate degree in Theology in 1978, a licentiate degree in Philosophy and Arts in 1981 and a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Granada (UGR), reading a dissertation titled ''El pensamiento humanista de Erich Fromm. Crítica y utopía desde Marx y Freud'' in 1990. He is full professor of Philosophy of the UGR. He became a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) in 1993. He ran 5th in the PSOE list for the constituency of Granada vis-à-vis the March 2004 election to the Congress of Deputies. The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. The new party combined the conservative AP with several small Christian democratic and liberal parties (the party call this fusion of views "the Reformist Centre"). Eduardo Madina Muñoz (born 11 January 1976) is a Spanish socialist politician. He was the Secretary General of the Socialist Parliamentary Group in Congress between April 2009 and September 2014. Biography Madina is married and has one child. He comes from a family of socialists from the Basque Country. His grandfather was a miner. At age 17 he joined the Socialist Youth of Euskadi, a youth branch of the PSE-EE, and shortly after graduating in Contemporary History at the University of Deusto. 2014 Spanish Socialist Workers' Party Leadership Election
The 2014 Extraordinary Federal Congress of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party was held in Madrid from 26 to 27 July 2014, to renovate the governing bodies of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and establish the party's main lines of action and strategy for the next leadership term.
