Jin Shan
Jin Shan (9 August 1911 – 7 July 1982), formerly known as Zhao Mo (), was a Chinese drama and film actor, and director. He served as a member of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles, vice chairman of the Chinese Dramatists Association, and also a member of the Fifth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was known as the "Drama emperor". Early life Jin Shan was born on 1911 in Suzhou. In 1918, he attended a private school for education and developed interest in opera and theatre, while attending an opera at Suzhou. Jin Shan later moved to Shanghai where continued his education at the Xuhui High School. In 1927, he was expelled from the school for offending the priest. Later, he served as a soldier in the Seventeenth Teaching Corps of the Kuomintang in Xiyuan Temple. Jin (Chinese Surname)

Eighth Route Army
The Eighth Route Army (), officially known as the 18th Group Army of the National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China, was a group army under the command of the Chinese Communist Party, nominally within the structure of the Chinese military headed by the Chinese Nationalist Party during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Eighth Route Army was created from the Chinese Red Army on September 22, 1937, when the Chinese Communists and Chinese Nationalists formed the Second United Front against Japan at the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, as the Chinese theater was known in World War II. Wuhan
Wuhan (, ; ; ) is the capital of Hubei, Hubei Province in the China, People's Republic of China. Second Sino-Japanese War
The Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) or War of Resistance (Chinese term) was a military conflict that was primarily waged between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. The war made up the Chinese theater of the wider Pacific Theater of the Second World War. Hu Ping
Hu Ping (胡萍) (1910-?) was a Chinese actress, screenwriter and filmmaker from Hunan, China, born in Changsha. She started acting in Shanghai, in the theater industry and was a household name in Shanghai in the 1930s. She joined the Friends Film Company in 1931. Her movies included ''Love and Life'' (恋爱与生命), ''Awkward Tragedy'' (姊姊的悲剧), ''The Hero of the Sea'' (海上英雄), ''The History of the Greenwood'' (绿林艳史) and ''The Night Half Song'' (夜半歌声). Her fate is unknown. She went to Hong Kong after the Japanese invasion in 1937, but was unable to work. She found love and lived as a celebrity, "doing nothing every day, enjoying a leisurely life, going out to the karaoke, ballroom, cafe, singing, dancing." Zhao Dan
Zhao Dan (June 27, 1915 – October 10, 1980) was a Chinese actor popular in the golden age of Chinese Cinema. Biography Zhao first became famous working in the Mingxing Film Company in the 1930s including playing opposite Zhou Xuan in '' Street Angel'' (1937). After the Sino-Japanese War, Zhao began a creative relationship with director Zheng Junli, with films such as the 1948 anti-Kuomintang drama-comedy, ''Crows and Sparrows''. Zhao remained on the mainland following the Communist victory in 1949 and continued to make films throughout the 1950s and 1960s notably in biographical films playing historical figures of Nie Er, Lin Zexu (both directed by Zheng Junli) and Li Shizhen. Zhao joined Communist Party of China in 1957. During the Cultural Revolution, he was persecuted and imprisoned for 5 years. He died of pancreatic cancer in Beijing in 1980.
