Jim Jessiman
James Hugh Jessiman (July 21, 1912 – June 7, 1989) was a Canadian politician, who represented Fort William in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1967 to 1975 as a Progressive Conservative member. Jessiman was born in Fort William, Ontario, to James Munro Jessiman and Margaret Nichol. Jessiman left an impressive legacy of community service, including the historical restoration of Old Fort William and construction of the Big Thunder National Ski Training Centre. He was chairman of the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission from 1972 to 1975. Iain Francis Angus (born June 1, 1947) is a Canadian politician, who has served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and the House of Commons of Canada, as well as on Thunder Bay City Council. Then an employee with the city of Thunder Bay, Angus entered electoral politics in the 1975 provincial election as the Ontario New Democratic Party candidate in Fort William. He served until the 1977 election, when he was defeated by Mickey Hennessy. Fort William was a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of Ontario, active from 1908 to 1999. The district was created out of the former Fort William and Lake of the Woods district for the 1908 election, serving the city of Fort William and the surrounding area.
