Jeżyce, Poznań
Jeżyce is a part of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It was one of the five governmental districts ''(dzielnicas)'' into which the city was divided prior to 1990, and which are retained for certain administrative purposes. The name ''Jeżyce'' more popularly refers to a much narrower area – the old neighbourhood (and former village) of Jeżyce, centred on the ''Rynek Jeżycki'' market. This forms the south-eastern part of the wider district of Jeżyce discussed in this article. Kiekrz Lake
Kiekrz is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Rokietnica, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately south-east of Rokietnica and north-west of the centre of Poznań. Kiekrz village lies just north of Poznań's present city boundary. Adjacent to it within the city (in Jeżyce district) is a neighbourhood also called Kiekrz (and with a railway station, Poznań Kiekrz), lying on the northern shore of Poznań's largest lake, ''Jezioro Kierskie'' (Kiekrz Lake). Podolany, Poznań
Podolany (; german: Schoenherrnhausen) is a suburban neighbourhood of the city of Poznań in western Poland, located in the north-west of the city. Podolany was incorporated into the city partly in 1933, and partly under German occupation in 1940–42. It is mainly a residential district, but its southern parts contain industrial sites. Podolany is one of the 42 ''osiedles'' into which Poznań is divided (see Administrative division of Poznań). It is a part of the former wider district of Jeżyce. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles).
