Jeanette Aw
Jeanette Aw Ee-Ping (born 28 June 1979), better known by her stage name Ou Xuan (), is a Singaporean actress, filmmaker, businesswoman and writer. Aw was named as one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp in 2006, after which she achieved wider success with her leading role in acclaimed drama '' The Little Nyonya''. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2002 to 2017 but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis and was once managed under Hype Records. Through her television career, Aw has established herself as one of the most popular and high-profile celebrities in Singapore. She has won 29 popularity and performance awards, the record number for a performer, at Singapore Mediacorp's Star Awards. Beauty World (musical)
''Beauty World'' is a Singaporean musical written by Michael Chiang and composed by Dick Lee in 1988. Drawing on the tradition of 1950s black-and-white Cantonese movies, it tells the story of a young Malaysian girl who comes from Batu Pahat to 1960s Singapore in search of her father and winds up in the eponymous sleazy night club. Written in English with some Singlish elements and Singaporean slang, it is one of the best known musicals of Singapore. With '' Makan Place'', which was also written in 1988, it is one of the first two Singaporean musicals. ''Star Awards 2003'' was an awards ceremony part of the annual Star Awards held by MediaCorp Channel 8 on 7 December 2003. The tenth installment of ''Star Awards'' were hosted by Timothy Chao for the sixth consecutive ceremony, along with current affairs hostess and nominee for the Best News and Current Affairs Presenter Chun Guek Lay.
