Jay Sirianni
John F. Sirianni (born July 17, 1975) is an American baseball coach and former pitcher. He is the head baseball coach at Sam Houston State University. Sirianni played college baseball at Texas A&M University in 1995 and at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln from 1996 to 1999 for coach Dave Van Horn and in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for two seasons from 1999 to 2000. Sirianni was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Indianola High School in Indianola, Iowa. After graduation from high school, he decided to attend Texas A&M University to play baseball. After his freshman year, he transferred to play college baseball at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. After his senior season, he was signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Indians. In 2019, Sirianni was named the head coach of the Sam Houston State Bearkats baseball program, succeeding Matt Deggs. Western Athletic Conference
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) is an NCAA Division I conference. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Utah, Washington (state), Washington, and Texas. 2021 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament
The Southland Conference baseball tournament is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Southland Conference. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Tournament The Southland Conference Baseball Tournament is a double-elimination tournament held annually at various locations in the Southland Conference region. Before the departure of five members following the 2021 season, the eight teams with the best conference record at the end of the regular season earned berths in the tournament. The 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 19, 2021. The Southland Conference, abbreviated as SLC, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States (specifically Texas and Louisiana). Matt Deggs
Matt Deggs (born August 20, 1971) is an American baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. He played college baseball at Alvin Community College (1991–1992) then transferred to Northwood University (1993–1994) before playing professional baseball for 3 season from 1995 to 1997. He then served as the head coach of the Sam Houston State Bearkats (2015–2019).
