Matt Deggs
Matt Deggs (born August 20, 1971) is an American baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. He played college baseball at Alvin Community College (1991–1992) then transferred to Northwood University (1993–1994) before playing professional baseball for 3 season from 1995 to 1997. He then served as the head coach of the Sam Houston State Bearkats (2015–2019). Playing career Deggs played college baseball at Alvin Community College before transferring to Northwood University and a brief professional career with the Mobile BaySharks and the Tennessee Tomahawks for three years. Coaching career Deggs became an assistant coach at Northwestern State for two seasons. He completed his undergraduate degree at Northwestern State then became head coach at Texarkana. KBTX
KBTX-TV (channel 3) is a television station licensed in Bryan, Texas, United States, serving the Brazos Valley as an affiliate of CBS. Owned by Gray Television, the station maintains studios on East 29th Street in Bryan, and its transmitter is located northwest of Anderson, Texas. Although identifying as a separate station in its own right, KBTX-TV is considered a semi-satellite of KWTX-TV (channel 10) in Waco. As such, it simulcasts all network and syndicated programming as provided through its parent station but airs separate commercial inserts, legal identifications, local newscasts and Sunday morning religious programs, and has its own website. The 2020 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 14, 2020. On March 12, it was announced that the 2020 NCAA tournament would be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2016 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, June 3, 2016, as part of the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64-team, double-elimination tournament concluded with the 2016 College World Series (CWS) in Omaha, Nebraska, starting on June 18, 2016, and ending on June 30, 2016. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected out of 298 eligible teams. Thirty-one teams were awarded an automatic bid, as champions of their conferences; the remaining 33 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. Teams were divided into sixteen regionals of four teams, which conducted a double-elimination tournament.
