2021 Sam Houston State Bearkats Baseball Team
The 2021 Sam Houston State Bearkats baseball team represented Sam Houston State University during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bearkats played their home games at Don Sanders Stadium and were led by second–year head coach Jay Sirianni. They were members of the Southland Conference. This was Sam Houston State's final year in the Southland as they will be moving to the Western Athletic Conference for the 2022 season. Jay Sirianni
John F. Sirianni (born July 17, 1975) is an American baseball coach and former pitcher. He is the head baseball coach at Sam Houston State University. Sirianni played college baseball at Texas A&M University in 1995 and at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln from 1996 to 1999 for coach Dave Van Horn and in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for two seasons from 1999 to 2000. Sirianni was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Indianola High School in Indianola, Iowa. After graduation from high school, he decided to attend Texas A&M University to play baseball. After his freshman year, he transferred to play college baseball at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. After his senior season, he was signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Indians. In 2019, Sirianni was named the head coach of the Sam Houston State Bearkats baseball program, succeeding Matt Deggs. Humble ( ) is a city located in the Houston metropolitan area. Humble became an oil boomtown in the early 20th century when oil was first discovered there in 1904. Tomball, Texas
Tomball ( ) is a city in Harris County in the U.S. state of Texas, a part of the Houston metropolitan area. The population was 12,341 at the 2020 U.S. census. In 1907, the community of Peck was renamed Tomball for local congressman Thomas Henry Ball, who had a major role in the development of the Port of Houston. Hempstead is a city in and the county seat of Waller County, Texas, United States, part of the metropolitan area. History On December 29, 1856, Dr. Richard Rodgers Peebles and James W. Guy is an unincorporated community in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States. It is located on Texas State Highway 36 (SH 36) about south of Rosenberg, Texas. A trucking company, a Shell Oil Company filling station, a post office, and several homes are located near the intersection of SH 36 and Farm to Market Road 1994 (FM 1994). The community was established in 1890 and was served by a railroad between 1918 and the 1980s. Geography Guy is at an elevation of above sea level and the surrounding terrain is remarkably flat.
