Jan Weinzierl
Jan Weinzierl (born 1 May 1973) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Biography Weinzierl, a right-handed player, grew up in Biberach an der Riss. A winner of 11 Futures titles, he has beaten Nikolay Davydenko in Futures tournaments on three occasions and also has a win over Jo Wilfried Tsonga. He played his first Challenger tournament in 1994 and finished runner-up at Challengers twice in his career, at Campos Do Jordao and Sopot. His two ATP Tour main draw appearance came eight years apart. In 1995 he lost in the final round of qualifying at the Seoul Open but entered the draw as a lucky loser, where he was beaten in the first round by Paul Wekesa. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Nikolay Vladimirovich Davydenko ( rus, Никола́й Влади́мирович Давыде́нко ; born 2 June 1981) is a Ukrainian-born Russian former professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 3 in November 2006. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (; born 17 April 1985) is a French former professional tennis player. He was ranked as high as world No. 5 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he achieved in February 2012. The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. Paul Wekesa (born 2 July 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Kenya. He won 3 doubles titles, achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 100 and reached two tour-level quarterfinals at Auckland in 1989 and Seoul in 1995. Tennis career Prior to turning professional, he won the doubles tournament at the 1987 Division II NCAA Men's Tennis Championships while attending Chapman University. Irakli Labadze ( ka, ირაკლი ლაბაძე, tr, ; born June 9, 1981) is a Georgian retired professional tennis player. His career-high singles ranking was World No. 42, which he attained in July 2004. He is the first Georgian player to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon as a qualifier.
