Jalil Zaland
Jalil Zaland (Dari/Pashto: ) (also spelled as Jalil Zoland and Ustad Zoland; or ) was a veteran singer of Afghanistan's golden music era. He is also a poet and music composer. He is the father of Farid Zoland, Shahla Zaland, Soheila Zaland, Wahid Zaland, Mina Zaland, Mirwais Zaland, and Mahmood Zaland. He was one of the early teachers of Ahmad Wali. The Zaland's are Persian speakers, as a result, Jalil Zaland's classic melodies were also highly acclaimed in Iran and Tajikistan. Faegheh Atashin ( fa, فائقه آتشین; born 5 May 1950), known professionally as Googoosh ( fa, گوگوش, ), is an Iranian singer and former actress. One of the most popular and prolific entertainers in Iran, her career has spanned over six decades. Googoosh has enjoyed significant popularity since the beginning of her career, ultimately becoming a cultural icon inside Iran and abroad. She is mainly known for her contributions to Iranian pop music, but she also starred in a variety of Persian movies from the 1950s to the 1970s. She achieved the pinnacle of her fame and success towards the end of the 1970s. Ahmad Wali
Ahmad Wali (Pashto/Dari: ) is an Afghan Ghazal singer. He began his career in the 1970s, becoming popular in his native country before he was forced to flee by political upheaval in Afghanistan. He continued his work after resettling in Germany, performing throughout Europe and North America. Background Ahmad Wali was born in Kabul to an ethnic Pashtun family belonging to the Mohammadzai tribe. His father, Mohammad Akram Nawabi, was a former police commander who served in various provinces across Afghanistan.
