''Jade Bird'' is the debut studio album of British singer-songwriter Jade Bird. It was released on 19 April 2019 through Glassnote Records. The album includes her debut single "Lottery", which came after her debut extended play ''Something American'', released from the preceding year, and also her breakout single "Uh Huh". The album was supported by a European and North American tour, which includes opening for The Lumineers and Hozier (musician), Hozier. Critical reception The album received a Metacritic score of 75 based on 13 reviews, indicating generally favourable reviews. Jade Elizabeth Bird (born 1 October 1997) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. Bird's music has been influenced by many folk and Americana artists. The media, when describing Bird's music, have drawn comparisons with pop, Americana, country and folk rock. Bird's childhood was spent in Hexham, London, Germany and Bridgend, South Wales. It was in Bridgend, living with her mother following the separation of her parents, that Bird began to write songs. In her final year at BRIT School, she recorded a demo that led to a management deal. This, in turn, was followed by her signing to Glassnote Records. In 2017, she released her first extended play (EP) titled ''Something American''. This received a positive reception and she was listed in the BBC Sound of 2018 list at the end of that year. Glassnote Records (also known as Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC) is a record label that was launched by American music executive Daniel Glass in 2007. The label primarily has a lineup of indie rock and alternative rock artists, most notably Mumford & Sons and Phoenix. David Baron (composer)
David Baron is a composer, producer, arranger, recording engineer and keyboardist from Boiceville, New York. Career Baron holds a BA degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio. Between 1991 and 2000, David ran ''Baron and Baron'' with his father, Aaron Baron. Aaron Baron was a pioneer in location recording and engineered many famous records including, Allman Brother’s at Fillmore East “ BB King Live in Cook County Jail”. Baron and Baron became a leader in original music for television network branding. Alex Suarez (musician)
Cobra Starship was an American dance-pop band founded in 2005 by Gabe Saporta (ex- Midtown), and headquartered in New York City. He recorded the first album as a solo project, ''While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets''. Saporta later enlisted guitarist Ryland Blackinton, bassist Alex Suarez, drummer Nate Novarro, and keytarist Victoria Asher, all of whom provide backing vocals. Over ten years, Cobra Starship produced four albums and two ''Billboard'' Hot 100 top 10 singles. The group released its debut album, ''While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets'', in 2006, which contained the single " Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)". The Lumineers
The Lumineers are an American alternative folk band based in Denver, Colorado. The founding members are Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano). Schultz and Fraites began writing and performing together in Ramsey, New Jersey, in 2005. Cellist and vocalist Neyla Pekarek joined the band in 2010, and was a member until 2018. The Lumineers emerged as one of the most popular folk-rock/Americana artists during the revival of those genres, their popularity growing in the 2010s. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry.
