Glassnote Records (also known as Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC) is a record label that was launched by American music executive Daniel Glass in 2007. The label primarily has a lineup of indie rock and alternative rock artists, most notably Mumford & Sons and Phoenix. The label has also released music from popular artists in other genres, such as Chvrches, Childish Gambino and Secondhand Serenade. The label is distributed by The Orchard as of 2022. History In 2009, the label released French indie rock band Phoenix's fourth album, '' Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix'', which was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2010. In February 2011, Mumford & Sons' '' Sigh No More'' became the label's highest charting album, peaking at #2. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. ''Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix'' is the fourth studio album by French indie pop band Phoenix. It was released on 25 May 2009 by V2 Records. While the band's previous work enjoyed a moderate underground following, the release of ''Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix'' drew the attention of a more mainstream audience. In the US, Phoenix began a promotional tour including performances on several late night talk shows. ''Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix'' continued to gain momentum with the increased exposure of the tour.
