Jørn Strand
Jørn Strand is a Norwegian televangelist and tent revival evangelist. He is associated with Pentecostalism and the charismatic movement. Evangelism Strand grew up in a non-religious home. He was previously a drug addict for ten years until he had a radical conversion to Christianity in 1991 which included speaking in tongues and being filled with the Holy Spirit. He soon began travelling around to evangelise, and founded the organisation Evangeliet For Alle in 1993. He evangelises with street meetings and hosts tent meetings with up to two thousand attendants. He emphasises being filled with the Holy Spirit in contrast to simply being born-again and interprets people speaking in tongues at his meetings. Strand formerly evangelised on the Christian television station Visjon Norge. Since 2020, he has been broadcast on the Christian television station Kanal 10. Televangelism (from ''televangelist'', a blend of ''television'' and ''evangelist'') and occasionally termed radio evangelism or teleministry, denotes the utilization of media platforms, notably radio and television, for the marketing of religious messages, particularly Christianity. Tent revivals, also known as tent meetings, are a gathering of Christian worshipers in a tent erected specifically for revival meetings, evangelism, and healing crusades. Tent revivals have had both local and national ministries. The tent revival is generally a large tent or tents erected for a community gathering in which people gather to hear a preacher in hopes of healing, peace, forgiveness, etc. In the continental United States, from an administrative perspective tent revivals have ranged from small, locally based tents holding as few as a hundred people to large organizations with a fleet of trucks and tents able to hold thousands. Charismatic Movement
The charismatic movement in Christianity is a movement within established or mainstream denominations to adopt beliefs and practices of Charismatic Christianity, with an emphasis on baptism with the Holy Spirit, and the use of spiritual gifts (''charismata''). It has affected most denominations in the United States, and has spread widely across the world. Visjon Norge
Visjon Norge (or TV Visjon Norge) is a Norwegian Christian television station, which was launched in 2003 as the first Scandinavian Christian television channel to air 24 hours a day. It can be reached throughout Scandinavia by satellite. The founder and executive editor of the channel is Jan Hanvold. A sister channel based in Sweden was launched in 2015, and later also in Denmark. Organization TV Visjon Norge has 75 employees, in addition to a number of volunteers.
