Jyske Bank A/S is the third largest Danish bank in terms of market share. The headquarters are located in Silkeborg, and the bank has 98 branches in Denmark, and a single one in Germany (Hamburg). It is the second-largest bank to be listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, and it is the largest bank in Denmark headquartered outside Copenhagen. The current CEO of Jyske Bank is Anders Dam. ''Aktieselskab'' (; abbr.: A/S, or a/s, Unicode ; literally meaning: "stock company") is the Danish name for a stock-based corporation. An ''aktieselskab'' may be either publicly traded or private. Liability The shareholders of an ''aktieselskab'' are not liable for the debts of the company. This can be used to protect the assets of the company against creditors by forming a group of companies. If an A/S is owned by a holding company (typically another A/S), the profit from the production company can be transferred to the holding company. Since there is no liability for the owners of an A/S, creditors from the production company will not be able to claim the profit in case of bankruptcy. Jyske Bank Boxen is an indoor arena, located in Herning, Denmark, that is part of the Messecenter Herning. Opened in October 2010, it has a maximum capacity of 12,500. It hosts concerts, ice hockey, basketball, volleyball, team handball and gymnastics competitions. It has hosted the 2010 European Women's Handball Championships, the 2013 European Short Course Swimming Championships, the 2014 European Men's Handball Championship, the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship and the 2020 European Women's Handball Championship. Echt (; ) is a city in the Dutch municipality of Echt-Susteren in the province of Limburg, Netherlands. It was a municipality itself until it merged with the municipality of Susteren on 1 January 2003. The municipality of Echt had about 19,300 inhabitants and an area of about 75,13 square km. Banco Galliano was the oldest bank in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. History In 1855, Antonio Luis Galliano (1803–1866) and his family, immigrants from Genoa via Cádiz, established A.L. Galliano Bankers in Gibraltar, better known as ''Banco Galliano'' in Spanish, or ''Galliano's Bank'' in English.
