Jutta Kleinschmidt
Jutta Kleinschmidt (born 29 August 1962) is a German competitor of offroad automotive racing events. She is known for her numerous showings in the Paris Dakar Rally, and notably for having won the event in 2001, becoming the only woman driver to win the race and the only German to win the car category. In 2013, Kleinschmidt was named an FIM Legend for her motorcycling achievements. Biography She was born in Cologne, Germany, and grew up in Berchtesgaden, Upper Bavaria. She studied physics at Isny Polytech then worked at BMW. She raced her first Paris-Dakar Rally in 1988 on a BMW motorcycle. In 1994, she switched to driving a car and, in 1997, became the first woman to win a stage of the Rally. The following year, she was on the podium and, in 2001, she became the first woman to win the Rally. Fabrizia Pons
Fabrizia Pons (born 26 June 1955) is an Italian rally co-driver best known for her partnership with Michèle Mouton. Biography The pair won four rallies with the Rallye Sanremo in 1981 and a further three to finish second in the 1982 championship. Pons is one of two people to have achieved world championship points as a driver and co-driver, having finished ninth overall in the 1978 Sanremo Rally before switching to co-driving. Pons is a recipient of the Halda Trophy for 1982, the highest honor for a co-driver. From 2003 to 2006, she was the co-driver to German Dakar Rally racer Jutta Kleinschmidt. Tina Thörner
Maria Christina Thörner (born in Säffle, Sweden on February 24, 1966) is a Swedish rally co-driver. Tina Thörner's career in motor sports started in 1990. Since then, she has won three FIA Ladies' World Rally Championship titles, a third and a second place overall in the Dakar Rally 1999 and 2006 and two FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup wins in 2008 and 2009. She has co-driven for many renowned drivers, including Louise Aitken-Walker with whom she made history to become the first ever female FIA World Rally Champions. In the Dakar Rally, she raced with Jutta Kleinschmidt becoming the first women to get a podium finish in 1999, and with Colin McRae in 2004 and 2005.
