Just 4 Fun was a Norwegian band from the early 1990s. The members were Marianne Antonsen, Jan Groth, Eiríkur Hauksson and Hanne Krogh. Krogh represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 and reached the 17th position, 14 years later she won in the band Bobbysocks. Eiríkur Hauksson participated in 1986 for Iceland as a part of the trio ICY, and then again for Iceland in 2007 as a solo artist. The group became famous after giving a few concerts. They represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 with the song "Mrs. Thompson". Jan Leonard Groth (25 February 1946 – 27 August 2014) was a Norwegian musician. Biography Groth was born in the borough of Greåker in Sarpsborg, Norway. He first made his name in the early 1970s as a member of the progressive rock band Aunt Mary, where he was lead singer and keyboardist. Groth later moved on to Christian rock, where he most notably sang rock versions of preacher Aage Samuelsen's songs. He was also a member of the band Just 4 Fun. Just 4 Fun participated for Norway in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Mrs. Thompson". In 2007, he released the album ''Sanger fra T.B. Eiríkur Hauksson
Eiríkur Hauksson (born 4 July 1959, in Reykjavik) is an Icelandic heavy metal vocalist. He represented Iceland at Eurovision in 1986 and in 2007. Career Eiríkur's career as a vocalist began in earnest when the song "Sekur" he wrote and performed with the Icelandic rock group Start was voted the Icelandic song of the year in 1981. In 1984 Eiríkur's metal group Drýsill, released the album "Welcome to the show" which was released in 1000 copies. In 1985 Eiríkur recorded two songs, "Gaggó Vest" and "Gull", written by Gunnar Þórðarson that both became popular in Iceland. Although his interest went with the heavy metal genre, he participated in the pop music scene in Iceland, participating in many group efforts in the 1980s. In 1988 Eiríkur moved to Østfold in Norway to become the vocalist of the power metal group Artch. As their vocalist he's known as Eric Hawk. Hanne Krogh (born 24 January 1956) is a Norwegian singer and actress from Haugesund and Oslo. Krogh is among the most selling record artists in Norway ever and is internationally well known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with Elisabeth Andreassen in the group Bobbysocks!. The Eurovision Song Contest 1971 was the 16th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following the country's victory at the with the song "All Kinds of Everything" by Dana. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (RTÉ), the contest was held at the Gaiety Theatre on 3 April 1971, and was hosted by Irish television presenter Bernadette Ní Ghallchóir. Bobbysocks
Bobbysocks is a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Norwegian Hanne Krogh and Swedish-Norwegian Elisabeth Andreassen. They won the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with the song "La det swinge" ("Let it swing"). Elisabeth went by the surname Andreasson until 1994. History 1980s The duo was formed in 1983. Both Krogh and Andreassen were frequent Eurovision contestants. Krogh has appeared three times, all for Norway - in 1971 as a soloist, with Bobbysocks in 1985 and as part of Just 4 Fun in 1991. ICY was a vocal trio consisting of Pálmi Gunnarsson, Helga Möller and Eiríkur Hauksson. They were the first Icelandic entrants to the Eurovision Song Contest, appearing at the 1986 final in Bergen. Their entry, "Gleðibankinn" (English translation: Bank of Fun), placed 16th. The Eurovision Song Contest 1991 was the 36th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. Ketil Stokkan
Ketil Stokkan (born 29 April 1956) is a Norwegian pop artist who has performed as solo artist as well as the singer in the Norwegian band Zoo. Stokkan was born in Harstad. In 1983 he participated in the Norwegian qualifying heat for Eurovision with the song "Samme charmeur" which was placed second. In 1986 he won the national Melodi Grand Prix with the song "Romeo", written by himself, which came 12th on homeground in the Eurovision Song Contest final, which that year was held in Bergen, Norway. In 1990 he won the national final again with the song "Brandenburger Tor", the song ended up last tied with Finland. Stokkan now works as a school teacher in Nordkjosbotn, Balsfjord. Norway has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 60 times since making its debut in and has only been absent twice since then. In 1970, the country boycotted the contest over disagreements about the voting structure, and in 2002, they were relegated.
