Julián Ruete
Julián Ruete Muniesa (29 January 1887 – 15 March 1939) was a player, referee, coach and football manager in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century. He was also a director of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Some of his main achievements was getting the funds for the construction of a new ground for Athletic Madrid (now known as Atlético Madrid), the Campo de O'Donnell in 1913. Playing career He was born at the beginning of 1887 in Madrid, a city in which he would develop an extensive career linked to football. Between 1904 and 1910 he was a player, member and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Madrid Football Club (now known as Real Madrid). His position was midfielder, but took no part in any of the club's four consecutive Copa del Rey final wins between 1905 and 1908, instead serving as captain of the reserve team. Ramón De Cárdenas
Ramón de Cárdenas Pastor (9 April 1884 - 31 October 1943) was a Spanish lawyer and footballer who played as a midfielder for Madrid FC (now Real Madrid CF), Athletic Club, Español de Madrid and Club Vizcaya. He is best known for being the fourth president of the Athletic Club de Madrid (now Atlético Madrid) between 1909 and 1912. He is the brother of the architects Manuel de Cárdenas Pastor and Ignacio de Cárdenas Pastor. Playing career Sky/New FC Cárdenas was born in Madrid as the son of Ramón de Cárdenas y Padilla (1852–1926), a journalist born in Havana who had emigrated to Madrid at the end of the 19th century and who belonged to the Spanish nobility. 1909 Copa Del Rey
The 1909 Copa del Rey was the 7th staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 4 April 1909, and concluded on 8 April 1909, with the final, held at the O'Donnell, in Madrid, in which Club Ciclista de San Sebastián lifted the trophy for the first time ever with a 3–1 victory over Español Madrid. The Basque goalscorers were George McGuinness, Charles Simmons and Miguel Sena. Club Ciclista de San Sebastián are the predecessors of Real Sociedad. After winning the cup trophy, on 7 September 1909 the players of Club Ciclista founded a new in club in San Sebastián, called Vasconia, later changing the name to Real Sociedad. Prince Of Asturias Cup
The Prince of Asturias Cup (, ) was an inter-regional football competition contested by the regional selections of Spain – selections of players from clubs from the region in question, meaning that players did not need to be native to the region. There have been seven tournaments for the Prince of Asturias Cup, the first of which was organized in 1915 by the national committee of the RFEF (Spanish FA) in honor of the donator of the trophy, don Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, the first-born son of King Alfonso XIII and Prince of Asturias. The first editions (1914 to 1918) of the competition were held in Madrid and the registration of the regional federations was voluntary. José Manuel Kindelán
José Manuel Kindelán Duany (8 October 1887 – 9 November 1919) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender for RCD Espanyol and Sociedad Gimnástica. Biography Born in Cádiz, he moved to Madrid as a child, and enventually joined Club Español de Madrid in 1908, helping the club win its first piece of silverware, the 1908–09 Centro Championship, and then reached the 1909 Copa del Rey Final, which they lost 1-3 to Club Ciclista. His great campaign with Español earned him a move to Sociedad Gimnástica in 1909, featuring alongside the likes of José Carruana and Sócrates Quintana. Kindelán once again played an important role in the first piece of silverware of a club, this time contributing to Gimnástica winning the 1909–10 Centro Championship, and again in 1910–11 and 1913–14. Manuel Prast
Manuel Prast Rodríguez de Llano was a footballer who played as a striker for Madrid FC between 1904–1908 and 1912–1914. He was a historical member of Madrid FC, playing a pivotal role in Madrid's four back-to-back Copa del Rey titles between 1905 and 1908, playing in all the finals and remarkably, netting in three of them, including the winning goals in the finals of 1905 and 1907 and a brace in the 1906. After retiring he become a referee and he was also an entrepreneur and owner of the family business called Confitería Prast, a confectionery founded by his father and which he took care of together with his brothers. In association football, the referee is the person responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Laws of the Game during a match. The referee is the final decision-making authority on all facts connected with play, and is the match official with the authority to start and stop play and impose disciplinary action against players and coaches during a match. At most levels of play the referee is assisted by two assistant referees (formerly known as linesmen), who advise the referee on whether the ball leaves the playing area and any infringements of the Laws of the Game occurring outside of the view of the referee. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. 1921 Copa Del Rey Final
The 1921 Copa del Rey Final was the 21st final of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. The final was played at San Mamés, in Bilbao, on 8 May 1921. Athletic Bilbao beat Athletic Madrid 4–1 courtesy of two braces from José María Laca and Domingo Acedo, a victory that asssured their eighth domestic cup title. The match was the first meeting between the 'two Athletics' who had begun as the same club, with the parent in Bilbao and the subsidiary in Madrid. Real Unión Club, S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in Irun, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, in the province of Gipuzkoa, near the border with France.
