Julien Bonvin
Julien Bonvin (born 10 January 1999) is a Swiss sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles. He has been the national champion in the 400 metres hurdles ever since 2021, earning the title consecutively three times in a row. He is also the 2023 Swiss champion for the indoor 200 metres. Early life and career Julien Bonvin was born on 10 January 1999 in Sierre, Switzerland. His passion for athletics developed at the age of 14. Immediately, he fell in love with the 400 metres hurdles. 2016 He won his first national title, as a junior, at the Swiss U18 Championships in September 2016. He competed in the 300 metres hurdles and came in first place. Also, he made his international debut at the 2016 European U18 Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia and finished in fifth place during the semi-finals. 2016 European Athletics U18 Championships
The 2016 European Athletics Youth Championships was the first edition of the biennial, continental athletics competition for European athletes aged fifteen to seventeen. It was held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 14–17 July and was established following the 2013 Congress of the EAA in Skopje. The event programme mirrored that of the previous IAAF World Youth Championships in Athletics, with the exception of a boy's decathlon, rather than the octathlon. Around 900 athletes from 46 European Athletics Member Federations took part. This was the only edition of the championships to be described as "Youth Championships". World and European Athletics hereafter changed their nomenclature from "Youth" and "Junior" to "Under-18" and "Under-20" respectively. The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. Evilard/Leubringen is a bilingual municipality in the Biel/Bienne administrative district of the canton of Bern, Switzerland. The French name of the municipality is Evilard and the German name is Leubringen. The municipality contains two separate settlements, called in French Evilard and Macolin, in German Leubringen and Magglingen, and a rural area called in French the Pré de Macolin. 60 Metres
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. This will enable them to start faster. The final instruction is the firing of the starter's pistol. Upon hearing this the sprinters stride forwards from the blocks.
