Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Julio Milostich
Julio Pelegrin Milostich Muñoz (born October 5, 1966) is a Chilean theater, film and television actor. The cynical and morally antagonistic style of many of Milostich's characters and his condition as an unconventional heartthrob are some of the most memorable outstanding traits. Among his most remembered roles are his portrayal of General Bernardo O'Higgins in '' Héroes'' and as ''José Luis Echeñique'', the protagonist of '' El Señor de la Querencia'' for which he won many awards. Career Milostich was born in Punta Arenas on October 5, 1966. His father died quite young, so his mother, Magdalena Muñoz, took care of her family, made up of 5 siblings. He studied basic education at the E-20 school and continued his studies at the Liceo Salesiano San José, in Punta Arenas. María Carolina Arregui Vuskovic (born August 26, 1965) is a Chilean television actress of Croatian and Basque descent. Although she never attended drama school, she is considered to be one of Chile's most popular and gifted actresses. Biography She debuted at age 17 in the telenovela ''El Juego de la Vida''. Since this work, she started her TV career obtaining some roles, as in ''Los Títeres'', ''La Torre 10'' and especially ''Ángel Malo'', which is considered as her breakthrough role. María Eugenia Rencoret Ríos (born 11 November 1964), nicknamed "Quena", is a Chilean director and producer of telenovelas. Biography María Eugenia Rencoret attended the . Later she studied television production and direction at the Professional Institute of Sciences and Arts (INCA-CEA) in Santiago. At age 20, she began her practice of television direction in the dramatic department of Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN), achieving a professional title.
