Josh Little
Joshua Brian Little (born 1 November 1999) is an Irish cricketer. He made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2016. Early career Unlike many other Irish cricketers, he grew up as a pure homegrown local Irish cricketer being the product of the Irish cricket pathway alone. He did not travel to England to learn the art of the game as he learnt them in Ireland and does not have experience of playing at the county level. He rose to limelight through the Irish cricketing system from under-age level. He picked up softball cricket for the first time as a ten-year-old at the St Andrews Primary School and he was guided by his development cricket coach in Dublin Andrew Leonard who is now a renowned broadcaster. Andrew Leonard (born 1962) is an American journalist who writes feature articles for ''San Francisco'' and contributes to Medium. From 1995 to 2014 he wrote for ''Salon.com''. 2019 Ireland Tri-Nation Series
The 2019 Ireland Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that was held from 5 to 17 May in Ireland. It was a tri-nation series featuring Bangladesh, Ireland and the West Indies, with all the matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). The ODI fixtures were part of Bangladesh and West Indies' preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh also played a 50-over warm-up match against Ireland A on 5 May 2019. The West Indies were the first team to qualify for the final, after they beat hosts Ireland in the fourth match of the series. The England cricket team toured Ireland in May 2019 to play a one-off One Day International (ODI) match. The match took place ahead of Ireland's visit to England in July 2019, to play a one-off four-day Test match. In September 2018, The Village in Malahide was named as the venue for the match. 2018–19 Oman Quadrangular Series
The 2018–19 Oman Quadrangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, that was held in Oman in February 2019. The series was played between Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and hosts Oman. The Ireland team became the first Full Member side to tour the country. All the matches were played at the Al Emarat Cricket Stadium in Muscat. Ahead of the final day of matches, the Netherlands had won both of their fixtures, therefore with a win against Ireland in their final match, they would win the series. However, the Netherlands lost the game against Ireland by one wicket, with Stuart Poynter hitting a six off the last ball to win the match. 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand (after the 2002 and 2010 events). New Zealand was the first country to host the event three times. The opening ceremony took place on 7 January 2018. The West Indies were the defending champions. However, they failed to defend their title, after losing their first two group fixtures. The Ireland cricket team toured India during March 2017 to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 International (T20Is) and an ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan. The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016. It was the eleventh edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in Bangladesh, after the 2004 event.
