Irish Cricket Team Against Afghanistan In India In 2016–17
The Ireland cricket team toured India during March 2017 to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 International (T20Is) and an ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan. All the matches were played at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground, Greater Noida. Afghanistan won the T20I series 3–0 and the ODI series 3–2. Afghanistan also won the ICC Intercontinental Cup match, by an innings and 172 runs. Squads Ireland's Josh Little pulled out of the tour because of education commitments. Peter Chase was named as his replacement. Boyd Rankin was ruled out of Ireland's T20I matches with a back injury. Mohammad Asghar Afghan ( ps, محمد اصغر افغان), is a former Afghan cricket, cricketer and former captain of the Afghanistan national cricket team. Asghar is a right-handed batsman (cricket), batsman and a Seam bowling, medium-fast bowler. Amir Hamza (cricketer)
Amir Hamza Hotak (born 15 August 1991) is an Afghan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Career Hotak was part of the Afghanistan Under-19 team which took part in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. He made one appearance, which came against Papua New Guinea Under-19s. He later made his first-class debut for Afghanistan against Canada in the 2011-13 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Hotak later made his One Day International debut in Afghanistan's first One Day International against a Full Member Test-playing nation, when they played Pakistan at Sharjah in February 2012. Batting at number ten, Hotak was dismissed for a six ball duck by Wahab Riaz in Afghanistan's innings of 195, while in Pakistan's innings he bowled four wicketless overs, conceding 22 runs. George Dockrell
George Henry Dockrell (born 22 July 1992) is an Irish cricketer. Dockrell is right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler who plays international cricket for Ireland after learning his cricket at Leinster Cricket Club, Dublin. Peter Karl David Chase (born 9 October 1993) is an Irish cricketer who played for Durham County Cricket Club. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who also bats right handed. Shapoor Zadran ( ps, ; born 8 July 1987) is an Afghan cricketer. Zadran is a left-arm fast-medium bowler. Zadran currently plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. Najeeb Tarakai (2 February 19916 October 2020) was an Afghan cricketer who played international cricket for the Afghanistan team.
