Joseph Shikongo
Lieutenant General Joseph Shimweelao Shikongo (born 18 September 1964) is a Namibian police officer currently serving as the Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force. He was appointed by President Hage Geingob on 22 August 2022 and resumed his duty officially on 1 September 2022. Shikongo replaced the retired Lieutenant General Sebastian Ndeitunga. Early life Shikongo joined the armed struggle at the tender age of 14 in 1979, but because of his age he could not go through a military training. He was instead sent to Kwanza Sul in Angola and later transferred to Nyango in Zambia for his studies. Shikongo only received his military training beginning in 1983, learning war tactics and military skills at Tobias Hainyeko Military Training Center. Shikongo is specialized in Anti Air Defence Operations. Namibian Police Force
The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) is the national police force of Namibia. It was established by the Namibian Constitution and enacted by an act of Parliament of Namibia, Parliament. The Namibian Police Force replaced the South West African Police as the national police force of the country in 1990. Sebastian Ndeitunga was its inspector general since 2005 to 2022. Joseph Shikongo is the current IGP. NAMPOL's functions are overseen by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Namibia), Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security. Hage Gottfried Geingob (born 3 August 1941) is a Namibian politician, serving as the third president of Namibia since 21 March 2015. Geingob was the first Prime Minister of Namibia from 1990 to 2002, and served as prime minister again from 2012 to 2015. Between 2008 and 2012 Geingob served as Ministry of Trade and Industry (Namibia), Minister of Trade and Industry. He is also the current president of the ruling SWAPO Party since his election to the position in November 2017. In November 2014, Geingob was 2014 Namibian general election, elected president of Namibia by an overwhelming margin. In November 2017, Geingob became the third president of SWAPO after winning by large margin at the party's 6th Congress. Lieutenant General Sebastian Ndeitunga ( nom-de-guerre ''Haitota'') (born 1962) is the former Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force. He was appointed by president Hifikepunye Pohamba in 2005, succeeding Lucas Hangula. Ndeitunga is also the current vice president of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) for Africa. When he retires in August 2022, Ndeitunga will be the longest serving police chief since Namibian independence. Ndeitunga was born around 1962 in an Angolan village a few kilometres north of the Namibian border. Cuanza Sul Province ("South Cuanza"; Umbundu: Kwanza Kombuelo Volupale) is a province of Angola. It has an area of and a population of 1,881,873. Sumbe is the capital of the province. Khomas Region
Khomas is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia. Its name refers to the Khomas Highland, a high plateau landscape that dominates this administrative unit. Khomas is centered on the capital city Windhoek and provides for this reason superior transportation infrastructure.
