Jose Javier Reyes
Jose "Joey" Javier Reyes (born October 21, 1954) is a Filipino professor, writer, director, miscellaneous crew and actor. He has won awards at the Gawad Urian, Metro Manila Film Festival and Filipino Star Awards for Movies for his films, which include ''Pahiram ng Isang Umaga'', '' Batang PX'' and ''Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo''. He also wrote the screenplay for Filipino blockbuster ''Four Sisters and a Wedding'' from which a Filipino meme featuring Bea Alonzo was sourced. Education Joey Reyes graduated from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines from the College of Liberal Arts. During his stay as an undergraduate he was already a director and writer for the university's theatre guild - Harlequin Theatre Guild. Reyes also finished his Masters Degree in English Education from the De la Salle University Graduate School and has taken courses leading to his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Santo Tomas. 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival
The 34th Annual 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival started from December 25, 2008 to January 7, 2009. This year marks the return of the Escalera brothers in ''Iskul Bukol 20 Years After (Ungasis and Escaleras Adventure)'' and the hardworking mother, Ina Montecillo in '' Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat''. Compared to last year's nine official entries, however, this year has only eight, all of which are being shown simultaneously during the 10-day run of the film fest. Viva Films is a Philippine film production company established under Viva Communications. It was founded on November 11, 1981, by Vic del Rosario Jr. History Veering away from the Sharon Cuneta-Gabby Concepcion tandem, Viva became home to quality dramatic films. The 14th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1988. An unheralded and obscure movie, ''Patrolman'' was named the Best Picture in the 1988 Metro Manila Film Festival.
