Jorge Luis Sierra Cruz
Jorge Luis Sierra Cruz (born 4 September 1961 – died 27 October 2014) was a Cuban politician. He was the Cuban Minister of Transportation (since 20 October 2006), the Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Member of the Executive Committee of CPC. He was a Cuban Vice President since 19 February 2009 till 3 May 2010. He is also a deputy in National Assembly of People's Power. He died after complications from knee surgery, followed by a massive heart attack. Carlos Manuel Pazo Torrado
Carlos Manuel Pazo Torrado (born 6 June 1963) is a Cuban politician. He was the Cuban Minister of Transportation from 20 June 2003 till 20 October 2006. He started his career in 1984 as in a cadastral office. In 1993 he was promoted to the Member of the Provincial Bureau of the CPC in Las Tunas. He is an expert in geodesics and cartography. Before the nomination he was the head of the Department of Construction, Transport and Communications of the Central Committee of CPC. César Ignacio Arocha
César Ignacio Arocha Masid (born 1959) is a Cuban politician who served as Minister of Transportation from 3 May 2010 until 9 September 2015. He graduated military school and worked in the Soviet Union as a railway engineer. Later was also the commander of military transport units and military logistics and director general of bulk food in Cuba. The Communist Party of Cuba ( es, Partido Comunista de Cuba, PCC) is the sole ruling party of Cuba. It was founded on 3 October 1965 as the successor to the United Party of the Cuban Socialist Revolution, which was in turn made up of the 26th of July Movement and Popular Socialist Party that seized power in Cuba after the 1959 Cuban Revolution. The party governs Cuba as an authoritarian one-party state where dissidence and political opposition are prohibited and repressed. The Cuban constitution ascribes the role of the party to be the " leading force of society and of the state". The highest body within the PCC is the Party Congress, which convenes every five years. When the Congress is not in session, the Central Committee is the highest body. National Assembly Of People's Power
The National Assembly of People's Power ( es, Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular) is the unicameral parliament of the Republic of Cuba. It is currently composed of 605 representatives who are elected from multi-member electoral districts for a term of five years. The current President of the Assembly is Esteban Lazo Hernández. The Assembly only meets twice a year, with the 31-member Council of State exercising legislative power throughout the rest of the year. The most recent elections were held on 11 March 2018. After the 2023 elections, the number of representatives will decrease to 474. Voters can select individual candidates on their ballot, select every candidate, or leave every question blank, with no option to vote against candidates.
