Carlos Manuel Pazo Torrado
Carlos Manuel Pazo Torrado (born 6 June 1963) is a Cuban politician. He was the Cuban Minister of Transportation from 20 June 2003 till 20 October 2006. He started his career in 1984 as in a cadastral office. In 1993 he was promoted to the Member of the Provincial Bureau of the CPC in Las Tunas. He is an expert in geodesics and cartography. Before the nomination he was the head of the Department of Construction, Transport and Communications of the Central Committee of CPC. Jorge Luis Sierra Cruz
Jorge Luis Sierra Cruz (born 4 September 1961 â died 27 October 2014) was a Cuban politician. He was the Cuban Minister of Transportation (since 20 October 2006), the Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Member of the Executive Committee of CPC. He was a Cuban Vice President since 19 February 2009 till 3 May 2010. He is also a deputy in National Assembly of People's Power. He died after complications from knee surgery, followed by a massive heart attack. The Communist Party of Cuba ( es, Partido Comunista de Cuba, PCC) is the sole ruling party of Cuba. It was founded on 3 October 1965 as the successor to the United Party of the Cuban Socialist Revolution, which was in turn made up of the 26th of July Movement and Popular Socialist Party that seized power in Cuba after the 1959 Cuban Revolution. The party governs Cuba as an authoritarian one-party state where dissidence and political opposition are prohibited and repressed. The Cuban constitution ascribes the role of the party to be the " leading force of society and of the state". The highest body within the PCC is the Party Congress, which convenes every five years. When the Congress is not in session, the Central Committee is the highest body. Las Tunas is a city and municipality in central-eastern Cuba. It is the capital of the Las Tunas Province and was named Victoria de Las Tunas from 1869 to 1976. Geography The city of Las Tunas is located in along the Carretera Central (highway), between the cities of CamagĂŒey, HolguĂn and Bayamo.
