Jordyn Pedersen (born 26 November 1997) is a retired Canadian artistic gymnast. Biography She was born on 26 November 1997 in Mississauga, Ontario, to Randy and Melody Pedersen. In 2008 she joined the University of Georgia. In 2014 she participated to the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Nanning Nanning (; ; za, Namzningz) is the capital and largest city by population of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southern China. It is known as the "Green City" because of its abundance of lush subtropical foliage. Located in the South of ..., China, where she placed 12th with Canada in the team competition. She suffered from shoulder pain throughout her sophomore year, taking medicines to control it. The injury eventually led to her retirement. After her retirement she served as a student assistant coach. The Georgia Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent the University of Georgia. The female athletic teams are sometimes referred to as Lady Bulldogs. The Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Nanning, China at the Guangxi Gymnasium from 3–12 October 2014. The competition was the fourth time a World Artistic Gymnastics Championships has been held in the continent of Asia. Competition schedule All times are CST (UTC+8). Venues Main Arena The main arena where the competition was held was the Guangxi Gymnasium, which opened in 2012. Training Gymnasium The training facility for the competition was held at the Li Ning Sports Park. As per any International Gymnastics Federation competition format, there was a podium training session where the gymnast trains on the podium in the arena to get a feel for the competition equipment on a raised surface.
