Joplin Creek

	Joplin Creek Joplin Creek is a stream in Jasper County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Turkey Creek. The stream flows northwest through part of downtown Joplin to its confluence with Turkey Creek in the north part of the city. Joplin Creek has the name of Rev. Harris G. Joplin, a pioneer settler. 	Turkey Creek (Spring River) Turkey Creek is a stream in Jasper County, Missouri, Jasper and Newton County, Missouri, Newton counties of southwest Missouri and Cherokee County, Kansas, Cherokee county of southeastern Kansas in the United States. It is a tributary of the Spring River (Missouri), Spring River. The stream headwaters arise in Newton County at in Newton County at an elevation of approximately 1170 feet. The stream flows to the north into Jasper County and passes under I-44 southeast of Duenweg, Missouri, Duenweg. It the turns to the northwest and flows past through the north side of Joplin, Missouri, Joplin passing under U.S. Route 71 and Missouri Route 43.
