Jonathan Xu
Jonathan Xu (born 7 September 1983) is a Singaporean footballer who plays for Project Vaults Oxley SC as a midfielder. Club career Geylang International Xu started his footballing career in 2009 when he signed for Geylang International. Tanjong Pagar United In 2010, it was announced that Xu would join Tanjong Pagar ahead of the 2011 S.League season. Admiralty FC After 2 years at Tanjong Pagar, Xu joined Admiralty FC in 2013 and he played in the NFL, division 1. Balestier Khalsa Xu returned to the S.League in 2014, where he joined Balestier Khalsa. Winning the Singapore Cup that year and earning a contract extension. He also won the runners up for the League Cup with the team. He made history scoring his career first goal in the AFC Cup against East Bengal, it is also the club's first ever goal in the tournament, the Tigers won 2-1 that match which was also their first AFC Cup victory. Balestier () is a sub zone located in the planning area of Novena in the Central Region of Singapore. The main road, Balestier Road, links Thomson Road to Serangoon Road and the road continues on as Lavender Street. The area is home to rows of shophouses, such as the Sim Kwong Ho shophouses, the Balestier Art Deco shophouses, 412-418 Balestier Road, and 601-639 Balestier Road, low-rise apartments and commercial buildings as well as a shopping mall known as Shaw Plaza. The 2015 Singapore League Cup (known as the TNP League Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the ninth season of Singapore's premier club football tournament organised by the Football Association of Singapore. The 2014 Singapore Cup is the 17th season of Singapore's annual premier club football tournament organised by Football Association of Singapore. Due to sponsorship reasons, the Singapore Cup is also known as the RHB Singapore Cup. Home United are the defending champions, having won the trophy six times. 2009 Singapore Cup
The Singapore Cup 2009 (known as the RHB Singapore Cup due to its main sponsor) started on 27 April 2009. It was the 12th staging of the annual Singapore Cup tournament. 12 S.League clubs and 4 invited foreign teams from Thailand (2 teams), Cambodia (1) and Indonesia (1) played in this edition. The cup was a single-elimination tournament, with all sixteen teams playing from the first round. The first round involved one-off matches. Subsequent rounds involved ties of two legs. The final was played on 8 November and won by Geylang United, who beat Bangkok Glass 1–0. The cup winner were guaranteed a place in the 2010 AFC Cup. Hougang United
Hougang United Football Club is a Singaporean professional football club that competes in the Singapore Premier League. History Hougang United Football Club was founded as Marine Castle United Football Club, which was formed by Newcastle United fans in the Marine Parade area. Upon successful entry into the S.League in 1998, the club struggled in its early foray in the first few years, finishing in the bottom two for the next four seasons. Marine Castle changed its name to Sengkang Marine Football Club in 2002 and finished in 8th position consecutively, its highest ever finish in its short history. Financial difficulties then forced Sengkang Marine out of the S.League in 2004, and Paya Lebar-Punggol Football Club took its place in 2005, finishing the season as wooden-spoonist.
