Johnny Jacobs
John Byron Jacobs (June 22, 1916 – February 8, 1982) was an American television announcer, often for Chuck Barris productions—namely, ''The Newlywed Game'' and ''The Dating Game''. Early life He was born in Wisconsin. Early career Radio Jacobs was the announcer for ''The Steve Allen Show'' on CBS in 1950. The program was a summer replacement for ''Our Miss Brooks'', which starred Eve Arden. In 1952–1953, he was the announcer for ''The Doris Day Show'' on CBS. In 1955, he was the announcer for the ''Gary Crosby Show'' on CBS. Television In the early 1950s, he was the emcee of a television show called ''Bachelor's Haven''. KWG Radio
KWG (1230 AM broadcasting, AM) is a radio station licensed to Relevant Radio, Relevant Radio, Inc. in Stockton, California. It carries that company's Catholic radio, Catholic talk radio programming. History KWG is one of the oldest broadcasting stations in the United States. It was initially licensed to the Portable Wireless Telephone Company on December 7, 1921, as the second formally licensed broadcasting station west of the Mississippi River. In addition, it traces its history to an earlier amateur station operated by Paul Oard. Oard was the principal engineer for Oard Radio Laboratories, a small radio equipment company owned by George Turner and located at 1218 North Union Street in Stockton. Jack Barry (born Jack Barasch; March 20, 1918 – May 2, 1984) was an American game show host, television personality and executive who made a name for himself in the game show field. Barry served as host of several game shows in his career, many of which he developed along with Dan Enright as part of their joint operation Barry & Enright Productions. Barry's reputation became tarnished due to his involvement in the 1950s quiz show scandals and the ensuing fallout affected his career for over a decade.
