John T. Curtis Jr.
John T. "J.T." Curtis Jr. (born 1947) is a high school football coach for John Curtis Christian School. In 2023, he broke the record of John McKissick’s record of 621 wins, securing his 622nd win against nationally recognized Edna Karr High School. In 2010, he was inducted to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and in 2015, he was inducted to the National High School Hall of Fame. Following the 2024 season, his coaching record stands as 623 wins, 81 losses, and 6 ties in 55 seasons. Early life Curtis is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Curtis graduated from East Jefferson High School in Metairie, Louisiana in 1966, where he was an all-state and All-American offensive lineman for the school's football team. River Ridge, Louisiana
River Ridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is a suburb of New Orleans. The population was 13,591 in 2020. History The land that is now River Ridge was developed by French colonists and their descendants in the late 18th and early 19th centuries for large sugar plantations; these lined the Mississippi River in traditional French long-lot fashion. The plantations had relatively narrow waterfronts, in order to provide water access, and extended deeply back from the river. Duke Riley (born August 9, 1994) is an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. Early years Riley attended John Curtis Christian High School in River Ridge, Louisiana. He committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football. Malachi Dupre (born October 12, 1995) is an American football wide receiver. He played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU). He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Early years Dupre attended John Curtis Christian High School in River Ridge, Louisiana. As a senior, he recorded 34 receptions for 607 yards and six touchdowns and as a junior he had 36 receptions for 816 yards and 15 touchdowns. Joe McKnight
Joseph Nathan McKnight Jr. (April 16, 1988 – December 1, 2016) was an American football running back and return specialist who played in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he played college football for the USC Trojans. McKnight was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. After playing in the NFL for the Jets and Kansas City Chiefs, he played in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
