John Stango
John Stango (born August 9, 1958) is an American pop artist. Biography Born and raised in urban Philadelphia, Stango attended Tyler School of Art at Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Graphic Design. After graduation, Stango was hired by Macy's and Bloomingdale's department stores as a visual merchandiser and display artist. Later, Stango began to create silk screen T-shirts. Eventually he turned his attention and energy to painting full-time. Currently he works out of a historic warehouse outside of Philadelphia. Stango paints in the vein of such artists as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, LeRoy Neiman, and Peter Max. Peter Max
Peter Max (born Peter Max Finkelstein, October 19, 1937) is a German-American artist known for using bright colors in his work. Works by Max are associated with the visual arts and culture of the 1960s, particularly psychedelic art and pop art. Early life and education Peter Max was born in Berlin, the son of German Jews Salla and Jakob. They fled Berlin in 1938, settling in Shanghai, China, where they lived for the next ten years. Peter's time in Shanghai influenced much of his later work. He loved the colours and the "calligraphic ballet" that he witnessed daily at the Buddhist temple across the street from the family villa. ''Pan Am'' is an American period drama television series created by writer Jack Orman. Named for the iconic Pan American World Airways, the series features the aircraft pilots and stewardesses of the airline as it operated in the early 1960s at the beginning of the commercial Jet Age. ''Pan Am'' premiered on ABC on September 25, 2011, and ended on February 19, 2012. ABC canceled the series on May 11, 2012. In May 2012, Sony Pictures Television had conversations with Amazon about picking up the series for a second season because of its international success.
