John Lee (hurler)
John Lee (born 23 May 1986) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Galway senior hurling team. An All-Ireland-winning captain in the minor grade, Lee made his first appearance for the senior team during the 2007 championship and became a regular member of the team over the next four seasons. During that time he failed to claim any honours at senior level. At club level Lee plays with the Liam Mellows club. Liam is a short form of the Irish name Uilliam or the old Germanic name William. Etymology The original name was a merging of two Old German elements: ''willa'' ("will" or "resolution"); and ''helma'' ("helmet"). The juxtaposition of these elements effectively means "helmet of will" or "guardian". When the Frankish Empire was divided, the name developed differently in each region. The 2004 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 74th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 27 March 2004 and ended on 19 September 2004. Kilkenny entered the championship as defending champions. On 19 September 2004, Galway won the championship following a 0-16 to 1-12 defeat of Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final replay at O'Connor Park. Richie Power Jnr
Richard "Richie" Power (born 4 December 1985) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Carrickshock, County Kilkenny, Power first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fifteen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2005 league. Power immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won eight All-Ireland medals, five Leinster medals and three National League medals. He has been an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Power has won two Railway Cup medals.
