John Farrar
John Clifford Farrar ( ; born 8 November 1946) is an Australian music producer, songwriter, arranger, singer, and guitarist. As a musician, Farrar is a former member of several rock and roll groups including The Mustangs (1963–64), The Strangers (1964–70), Marvin, Welch & Farrar (1970–73), and The Shadows (1973–76); in 1980 he released a solo eponymous album. As a songwriter and producer, he worked with Olivia Newton-John from 1971 through 1989. He wrote her U.S. number-one hit singles: "Have You Never Been Mellow" (1975), "You're the One That I Want" (1978 duet with John Travolta), " Hopelessly Devoted to You" (1978), and "Magic" (1980). He also produced the majority of her recorded material during that time including her number-one albums, ''If You Love Me, Let Me Know'' (1974), ''Have You Never Been Mellow'' (1975), and '' Olivia's Greatest Hits Vol. 2'' (1982). The Strangers (Australian Band)
The Strangers was an Australian rock band based in Melbourne, that lasted from 1961 to 1975. The band started out playing instrumental songs in a style similar to The Shadows, with influences from Cliff Richard. The original line-up included Peter Robinson (bass), Graeme ('Garth') Thompson (drums), Laurie Arthur (lead guitar) and Fred Wieland (rhythm guitar). Robinson had previously played with The Thunderbirds, and went on to replace Athol Guy in The Seekers from the late 1970s. Pat Carroll (singer)
Pat Carroll (born 1946) is an Australian singer in the 1960s and early 1970s, she is probably best known for her television appearances and her collaboration with Olivia Newton-John. Biography and career Carroll was born in Melbourne, Victoria began her entertainment career at age eight when she started taking singing and dancing lessons. Appearances on children's TV shows followed by the time she was eleven years old. She continued by appearing in musical comedy shows such as ''Carnival'' and ''Bye Bye Birdie''. This led to appearing on national Australian pop TV shows such as ''Bandstand'' and ''The Go!! Show'' when in her mid-teens. Her first 45 single "He's My Guy" was released when she was 18. ''Have You Never Been Mellow'' is the fifth studio album by British-Australian singer Olivia Newton-John, released on 12 February 1975 by MCA Records. Reception Both the title single and the album rose to the top of their respective US charts (the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart and the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart). The title song and its follow-up, "Please Mr. Please", were both top 10 on three ''Billboard'' charts: the Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, and Country. The title song was Newton-John's first charting single in Japan, where it reached number 26 on the Oricon singles chart. Niddrie is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Moonee Valley local government area. Sam John Farrar (born June 29, 1978) is an American musician. He is best known as a member of the pop rock band Maroon 5, in which he plays several instruments, most notably bass guitar. A frequent collaborator with the band since the 1990s, he joined as a touring member in 2012 and was promoted to an official member in 2016. He has also been the bassist for the rock band Phantom Planet since their formation in 1994.
