John Djopari
Johannes "John" Rudolf Gerzon Djopari (1 September 195020 April 2013) was an Indonesian author and politician who served as the Vice Governor of Papua from 1998 until 2000 and the Indonesian Ambassador to Papua New Guinea from 2002 until 2006. Biography Djopari was born in Weinami, Geelvinkbaai, Netherlands New Guinea, on 1 September 1950. Djopari became the chief of subdistrict (''camat'') of Kurina from 1974 until 1978 and Wamena from 1978 until 1979. Djopari then enrolled on a postgraduate study at the University of Indonesia, and taught in the Institute for Internal Affairs Government (''Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri'') as a lecturer after his graduation. In 1982, he was appointed by Busiri Suryowinoto as part of a team that gives written advices to Busiri about the province's split. Cenderawasih Bay
Cenderawasih Bay ( id, Teluk Cenderawasih, "Bird of Paradise Bay"), also known as Sarera Bay ( id, Teluk Sarera) and formerly Geelvink Bay ( nl, Geelvinkbaai), is a large bay in northern Province of Papua, Central Papua and West Papua, New Guinea, Indonesia. Geography ''Cenderawasih Bay'' is a large bay to the northwest of the Indonesian province of Papua, north of the province of Central Papua, and east of the province of West Papua, between the Bird's Head Peninsula and the mouth of the Mamberamo River. The bay is more than 300 kilometers wide. The coastline from Manokwari, in the northwest of the bay, to Cape d'Urville at the mouth of the Mamberamo is more than 700 kilometers long. Suharto
Suharto (; ; 8 June 1921 – 27 January 2008) was an Indonesian army officer and politician, who served as the second and the longest serving president of Indonesia. Widely regarded as a military dictator by international observers, Suharto led Indonesia through a dictatorship for 31 years, from the fall of Sukarno in 1967 until his own resignation in 1998. Free Papua Movement
"Free Papua Movement" ( id, Organisasi Papua Merdeka, OPM, tpi, Fri Wes Papua Grup) is an umbrella term for the independence movement established during 1965 in the West Papuan or West New Guinea territory which is currently being administrated by Indonesia as the provinces of Papua and West Papua, also formerly known as Papua, Irian Jaya and West Irian. Busiri Suryowinoto (24 November 19264 August 1982) was an Indonesian military officer and politician who served as the Indonesian ambassador to Papua New Guinea from 1977 until 1980, and as the governor of Irian Jaya from 1981 until 1982. Brigadier General (Ret.) Basyir Bachtiar was a military officer and politician who served as the Vice Governor of Irian Jaya from 1993 until 1998. Bachtiar was born on 12 August 1941 in Muara Enim, Sumatra. He enrolled in the National Military Academy, and graduated from the academy in 1964. Prior to his appointment as the Vice Governor of Irian Jaya, he was assigned office as the Secretary of the Inspector General of the Indonesian Army. After the resignation of his predecessor, Soedardjat Nataatmadja, the government of Irian Jaya handed over the task of appointing a new vice governor to Irian Jaya's regional military commander, which at that time was held by E.E.
